What will it be like?

Passage: Revelation 21:1-5
Service Type:

CURIOUS: What’s the difference between the millenium and the eternal state?

  • Rebellion is still possible in the Millennium, but not in the eternal state.
  • People will still die in the Millennium, but not in the eternal state.
  • Free-will still exists in the Millennium. In the eternal state, our choice has been made.

HOPEFUL: “The old order of things has passed away.”

  • The curse will be permanently reversed!

IMPORTANT: You have to qualify to get in.

  • The way we qualify for Paradise is not by trying harder; but by asking someone else to take our sins & failures for us.
  • Ephesians 1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

PERSONAL: What is my response to God’s invitation to Paradise?

  • Believe
  • Prepare
    • The best way we can prepare for Paradise is:
      1. Come to Jesus in faith.
      2. Lead other people to Jesus.
      3. Fully follow Jesus together.

Distinguishing marks of a God-pleasing follower of Jesus:

  • You eagerly anticipate your eternal future with God in Paradise.
  • You work diligently to prepare for it.
