COVID-19 Safety Plan

CCC has formed a COVID Response Team in efforts to develop and implement appropriate strategies to help keep CCC members and our community safe.

Sunday Services

  • Live streaming services are available via Facebook and our website for anyone who is not comfortable attending in-person gatherings.
  • Mask wearing is no longer required at the sunday services. You may still wear one if you prefer.
  • Children’s classes are available for kids third grade and younger. Nursery services are also available.

COVID Response

  • To date, there has not been any spread within our congregation. If we learn of someone testing positive who has been at an in-person service, the following Sunday service will be held exclusively online to monitor potential spread.
  • In addition to monitoring for positive cases at CCC, the COVID Response Team considers the following factors when determining if it’s safe and wise to temporarily suspend our in-person gatherings:
    • Rising cases in the community.
    • Overwhelmed Hospitals.
    • Governmental recommendations.
    • Area school district’s statuses.
    • Spiritual health of CCC.

Not Alone

Have you ever felt like you’re all alone?  Like nobody understands what you’re going through – or maybe even that nobody cares?  Life takes us there sometimes.  David wrote about that in Psalm 34.  He was a fugitive in enemy territory – he was supposed to be the next king of Israel, and yet he can’t even live in his own country because he’s being hunted by the current king.  And in that season of isolation, David writes Psalm 34.  Here is one verse from that Psalm:  “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (v18)  David came out of that season with praise on his lips.  He no longer felt alone.  If you can relate, maybe Psalm 34 would be a good one for you today.
Just something God brought to my mind as I prepare for Sunday’s message.I hope you find encouragement and strength in Jesus’ love for you today.
